Windstorm Information Service

The Windstorm Information Service (WISC) aims to enhance our understanding of the nature of windstorms over the Europe and provide new data resources for academia and industry, particularly (re-)insurance service providers who develop, runn and analyse climate risk models. WISC data will also support preparing for the impact of climate change in other key sectors, such as energy, transport, civil engineering, and governance.

HRCM (University of Reading and the Met Office) are two of eight WISC partner institutions
